Big four banks making it harder for Australians to buy cryptocurrencies

MHC Digital Group Founder Mark Carnegie discusses why it’s difficult for Australians to invest in cryptocurrency despite the “rest of the world” embracing it.

Following Donald Trump’s US election victory, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have seen a surge in value.

“There’s a whole lot of bottlenecks caused by the big four [banks] that make it really really hard for Australians to buy cryptocurrencies even as the rest of the world embraces them,” Mr Carnegie told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.
